Tonight I was reading about toxic baby formula in China and I started thinking about the pet food poisonings we had last year. It took a very long time for the companies to admit there was a problem.
What makes this different? How many children need become severely sick or die because the Chinese Government, U.S. Governments and companies jerk around pointing fingers before anything actually gets done. How safe is the baby formula? I sent an email to the makers of Similac about how they test or where they get their ingredients from. You'd think with 6500 babies severely ill and at least 3 dead directly related to baby formula, in China, there would be some assurance from governments or companies that the formula we feed our babies is safe.
It's quite obvious the Chinese business owners and Government don't care about human life, they are so interested in maximizing profits they will poison anyone to make a buck.
Remember lead based paint on toys? Our government is equally responsible. If they were so interested in our safety they would have banned all Chinese products until there was an absolute guarantee they met all safety standards or at least no toxic chemicals will ever be found.
I got a response, sort of, from the makers of Similac. They didn't answer all my questions but here's their "official" statement:

The real question is, can they or anyone else be trusted to tell the truth before someone gets sick?
