Pregnancy Pictures

229601_071 As we were approaching the delivery date my wife decided that she wanted professional 229601_059 pictures of her being pregnant.  I thought it would be a complete waste of money and time after all I took pictures of her while she was pregnant and they are fine, but my wife wanted good artistic pictures taken by a professional photographer.  I started looking, searching the web for one in my area looking at the samples they posted on their websites, and I chose Elisha Rain at E.Rain Images.  Elisha was very nice and patient, never made us feel rushed.  She took some very nice pictures and didn't charge an arm & leg for them either.  I think the price for the package we got, that included both pregnancy pictures and baby pictures.  So we had 2 photo shoot sessions and Elisha was able to get the kind of pictures I am proud to hang on the wall.

I didn't realize at the time my wife was pregnant how beautiful she was, to me pregnant women are not 229601_032_2 pretty, they are pregnant.  When we went to view the proofs last week and pick the 8x10's I saw for the first time how pretty my wife really was and as it turns out, I am very glad my wife wanted to have professional pictures taken.  Elisha was very patient working around my wife's rash and made sure none of the pictures showed it.  We got lucky and had the pictures taken just 2 days before Baby Dumpling was born.  Pictures really do matter and these really showed my wife's beauty in a way that I was not aware of.

I d229601_004o recommend having a professional photographer like Elisha take pictures of your wife while she's pregnant because it's so easy to get wrapped up into the financial planning and the purchasing of baby items that you can miss one of the most basic, natural beauty of your pregnant wife.  You will notice it months after the fact, and you will be happy you did.

Letting Baby Cry During the Night

I have been reading and answering questions on Yahoo Answers for a few months and one repeated question is, "Do I let my baby cry during the night."  The answer is NO!!!!!!  I can't believe parents that consider themselves loving and caring would deprive their child food and water.  That is just something that really makes me want to shake the parents so hard they need to go to the ER.  How can someone say they love their baby and at the same time deny food and water daily or nightly?  What's next, put a lock on the refrigerator and turn off the water so they can't eat or drink when they get older?  Force the children to eat just 3 meals a day and that's it?  How many of these so called loving parents have literally held their baby while they cry for food or drink and not be able to provide it?  The problem is these parents can provide it, but because it's inconvenient they choose not too.  They would rather let their child starve and suffer just because their needs come before an infant that cannot do it themselves.  They treat their babies worse than their pets and it really pisses me off.  I really think that any parent that deprives their child of food and drink should be punished for child neglect.

I will write more on this because it pisses me off so much.  I just can't believe child abuse is allowed to happen legally just so the parents are not inconvenienced.
